PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi here Wednesday approved budgets of University of Haripur (UoH) and Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) for the year 2024-25.
The minister was chairing separate senate meetings of both the universities. Representatives of Higher Education Commission, Vice Chancellors and concerned officials of finance, establishment and education departments were present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed salary expenditures of UoH and the proposals forwarded to control unnecessary expenses. The meeting approved budget of Rs. 1411 million and directed to conduct third party audit of previous budget.
The senate meeting of BKUC also approves budget of Rs. 888.09 million for the year 2024-25 after discussing expenditures being made under various heads.
Chairing the meeting, minister directed to constitute a committee for rationalization staff working on contract basis appointing vice chancellor as convener. The committee was directed to submit its re
port relating to rationalization till October, 31.
