RAWALPINDI:Rawalpindi police in an action against suspected drug peddlers and bootleggers on Friday arrested seven accused besides recovering over three kg of narcotics and 25 liters of liquor from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that Pirwadhai police held Shoukat a drug peddler who was also involved in supplying drugs to students. Police recovered 2160 grams charras from his possession.
In other raids, Waris Khan, Taxila, Wah Cantt, Rattaamral and R.A.Bazar police held six drug peddlers and bootleggers on recovery of 885 grams charras and 25 liters liquor.
The spokesperson said that separate cases have been registered against all suspects while further investigations are underway.
Divisional Superintendents of Police directed the police officers to accelerate ongoing operations against drug peddlers, bootleggers and other lawbreakers, he added.
