FAISALABAD: The Regional Transport Authority impounded seven unfit vehicles here on Friday.
According to official sources, a team headed by Secretary RTA Tariq Gill inspected 74 vehicles on main roads and issued challan tickets to 25 on various charges.
The teams imposed Rs 42,000 fines on violation of excels load management, Rs15,000 on violation of route permit and fitness, Rs7,000 on installation of LPG cylinders and Rs12,000 on emitting smoke.
At least 21 vehicles were sent to the center for fitness certificates.
