PESHAWAR:Police Constable Ismatullah Khan, who was martyred in a terrorist attack in North Waziristan, was laid to rest with full official honours at Bannu Police Lines on Wednesday.
Commissioner Bannu Division Naeemullah Khan, DPO Bannu Shafiullah Gandapur, DPO Lakki Marwat Sahibzada Sajjad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Bannu Ziaur Rehman Khattak, Pakistan Army officers, police personnel and the bereaved family attended the funeral prayers.
Officials and police personnel laid floral wreaths on the martyr’s coffin and offered special prayers for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.
Constable Ismatullah Khan embraced martyrdom when unidentified terrorists opened fire on him at Eidik in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan on Wednesday.
The martyred constable was performing his official duties in Lakki Marwat.
His sacrifice left his colleagues and family mourning the loss of a police official who laid down his life in the line of duty.
