PESHAWAR:A new underpass in Nowshera district has been completed within six months by Pakistan Army engineers to improve traffic flow and facilitate commuters.
According to the district administration on Monday, the underpass has been named after Shaheed Major Majeed Nawaz, who was awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat. The Commander Peshawar Corps inaugurated the project.
Built for the people of Nowshera and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the project aims at easing traffic congestion, improve connectivity and provide smoother transportation for local residents.
As part of the project, a 100 kVA backup generator has also been installed to ensure an uninterrupted power supply and keep the underpass operational during power outages.
The completion of the underpass is expected to improve traffic management and make daily travel more convenient for commuters in the area.
