Sialkot: The Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) had the privilege of hosting US Charge d’Affaires
Natalie Baker, during her visit to Sialkot on Wednesday.
According to SIAL spokesperson, Chairman SIAL Hassan Ali Bhatti, Vice Chairman SIAL Waqas Afzal,
members of the Board, including former chairmen and Chief Executive Officer SIAL AVM Tanweer Ashraf Bhatti (R) extended a warm and gracious welcome upon her arrival.
US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker was accompanied by US Consul General Lahore Stetson Sanders, Political Officer John Skerry, Public Diplomacy Officer Raquel King-Nicudemus and other officials.
Baker was presented with a concise yet comprehensive briefing by Chairman SIAL Hassan Ali Bhatti, highlighting SIAL’s unique origin, operational excellence, and pioneering model as Pakistan’s first privately built and operated international airport.
Following the presentation, Baker was taken on a guided tour of the airport, where she had the opportunity to observe SIAL’s infrastructure, services, and ongoing operational developments.
Baker appreciated the efforts of the local business community in bringing this exemplary vision to life. Commenting on the enduring partnership between the United States and Pakistan, US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker noted that thriving business hubs such as Sialkot play a vital role in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Chairman SIAL Hassan Ali Bhatti expressed his appreciation for her visit and reaffirmed SIAL’s openness
to future cooperation. ‘We are proud of where Sialkot stands today and even more hopeful for what the future holds. We look forward to exploring areas of mutual interest and collaboration,’ he said.
