SIALKOT:Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Captain (retd) Shah Mir Iqbal paid a surprise visit to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Sambrial and Daska.
He met patients under-treatment there, asked them about their problems, provision of medical facilities to them, supply of medicines, sanitation situation, and also checked staff attendance.
The deputy commissioner directed doctors and staff to treat the patients kindly and ensure provision of the best medical facilities to them. He directed the hospital medical superintendents to add more seats for patients in the Out-Patients Department (OPD) and repair the old benches and chairs.
The DC also listened to problems of doctors and paramedics and promised measures to solve them. He said concrete steps should be taken to ensure sanitation facilities in hospitals.
The deputy commissioner also inspected Tehsil Complex and Municipal Committee offices in Sambrial. He inspected under-construction bridge over a canal in front of the Judicial Complex in Daska and directed the communication authorities to complete their work at the earliest.
