GILGIT: The Executive Committee of he Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) on Monday recommended significant IT reform initiatives including development of telecom and cloud infrastructure and development of new Special Technology Zones, Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan Muhiudeen Wani said on Monday.
He said it was decided that these reforms would initiate from GB as the region was the most deserving of such IT infrastructure support, said a statement.
He added E-rozgar centers would also be established and the initiative would start a new era for IT in the region.
