Hyderabad: The Sindh Information Commission has summoned the Director General (DG) of Sindh Food Authority (SFA) to explain the reason for not providing details about vacancies and the appointment of people from the minority communities in the authority.
According to details, on a plea filed by the minority rights activist Imtiaz Boota Maseeh, the DG SFA had been summoned on January 7.
The complainant had earlier last year written a letter to the SFA to share information about the sanctioned vacancies and existing employees belonging to the minorities.
However, after failing to secure a response, he complained to the commission, which on November 27 wrote to the authority to furnish the required information.
The commission had later fixed a hearing of the case for December 10, 2025, but the SFA could not provide the required record at that hearing.
