MULTAN:The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) UFG control task force disconnected four gas meters in various areas of the provincial capital during an intensified crackdown against gas theft and illegal activities.
According to a spokesperson here on Sunday, the task force disconnected four meters after consumers were found illegally using compressors to inflate gas pressure.
During the operation, team members conducted door-to-door checking of 55 gas consumers across different localities to inspect meter connections and detect irregularities.
SNGPL officials reiterated that the ongoing operations are part of the company’s firm commitment to combating gas theft, protecting national resources, and ensuring smooth, high-quality, and uninterrupted gas supply to law-abiding consumers.
