SSP Riffat wins global award

Lahore:The International Association of Women Police honoured Punjab Police Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Riffat Bukhari with the excellence in performance award at the 61st annual conference held in Chicago, USA.

A spokesman for Punjab Police said, SSP Riffat Bukhari is currently serving in Punjab Safe Cities Authority. He said that the award is given every year to a highly competent woman police officer from all over the world in recognition of extraordinary services to her society, Riffat Bukhari was honoured for her valuable services in the protection of women, artificial intelligence system, awarded for developing intelligent traffic management and road safety mechanism, spokesman added.

The International Association of Women Police President Debra Friedel presented the award to SSP Riffat Bukhari.

The IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar and MD Safe Cities Authority Ahsan Younus congratulated SSP Riffat Bukhari. The IGP said that the recognition of SSP Riffat Bukhari is a source of pride for all police
officers, especially women officers.
