RAWALPINDI:Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) Rawalpindi issued 65 warning notices during 430 environmental inspections on Thursday across Shakrial, Faizabad, Pirwadhai, Girja Road, and Commercial Market as part of an anti-smog drive.
Deploying anti-littering squads under direct instructions from the Chief Minister of Punjab, SPA teams warned commercial vendors, shopkeepers, and residents against open waste disposal and garbage burning to reduce air pollution and smog hazards.
During field operations at Commercial Market, SPA communication officers distributed informational pamphlets advising citizens to adhere to waste management protocols and limit smoke emissions, while enforcing business community compliance across high-traffic zones.
