Sargodha: The Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 with participation of office-bearers, members and a large number of women entrepreneurs from different sectors.
The meeting reviewed the chamber’s performance during the previous year, initiatives undertaken for women entrepreneurs and plans for the coming period.
Participants were also briefed about the chamber’s activities and efforts to address business-related issues faced by women.
Founder President of Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce(SWCCI) Mrs Shamim Aftab was the chief guest.
The President Robina Mukhtar, Senior Vice President Saira Rehan, Vice President Dr Attiqa Anwar Rehan and General Secretary Ayesha Samreen, along with other office-bearers and members, attended the meeting.
Members including Rabia Shamim-ur-Rasool, Sonia Hassan, Uzma Shahbaz, Hira Aslam, Dr Shazia Bashir, Dr Nusrat Manzoor, Sana Salman, Farzana Irfan and Memoona Khan also participated.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs Shamim Aftab said the Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue efforts to promote women’s participation in business and support their economic empowerment.
She said women possessed entrepreneurial potential and needed appropriate opportunities, guidance and platforms to expand their businesses and contribute to the national economy.
The meeting reviewed various initiatives and activities undertaken by the chamber for women entrepreneurs and discussed business challenges faced by women and proposed measures for addressing them.
The President SWCCI Robina Mukhtar and other office-bearers reiterated their commitment to providing women entrepreneurs of Sargodha with a platform, raising their issues at relevant forums, expanding business opportunities and facilitating their introduction to national and international markets.
Participants also presented proposals to make the chamber’s activities more effective, encourage more women to enter the business sector and strengthen the economic role of women in Sargodha.
