SARGODHA:President Pakistan Medical Association Sargodha Dr Sikandar Hayat said that precautionary measures should be adopted as conjunctivitis is a contagious eye disease which was caused and spread due to adenovirus.
Talking to reporter here on Wednesday, he said that the virus was spread through inhalation,shake hands and eye fluids during hot and humid weather.
Dr. Sikandar Waraich further said that the symptoms of eye inflammation include fever, sore throat, red and swollen eyes, eye pain, burning, watery eyes and runny nose.
He said that the disease could be control by taking precautionary measures such as not touching eyes unnecessarily, washing hands with soap,never sharing personal items and always wear glasses whenever going out.
