Dera ismail khan: The district administration Tank has launched crackdown against profiteers to ensure availability of quality edible commodities at cheaper rates.
According to administration, the action has been taken under the provincial government’s public agenda to extend relief to citizens
As part of efforts, Additional Assistant Commissioner Tank, Malik Sajid Ali Khan paid a visit to Tank bazaar, where he inspected various shops.
During the visit, several shopkeepers were found in various violations including selling expired food items, overpricing and maintaining poor sanitation conditions.
He took action against the violators, imposing on the spot fines on the concerned shopkeepers and strictly directing them to ensure full compliance with the rules in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Assistant Commissioner Malik Sajid Ali Khan said that no compromise would be made on public health, and such operations would continue on a regular basis by the district administration to ensure the supply of clean and quality food items to people of the area.
