Peshawar:Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister on Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack and firing at Shadipur Check Post in Kohat, saying security forces would continue efforts to protect citizens and maintain law and order.
He expressed concern over injuries to four police personnel in the attack and prayed for their speedy recovery.
He also appreciated the police personnel for confronting the attackers with courage.
Marwat directed the relevant authorities to provide the injured officials with the best available medical treatment and facilities.
He also called for further strengthening security arrangements in the area and intensifying efforts to trace and apprehend those involved in the attack.
He said all available resources would be utilised to take effective action against terrorist elements and protect the lives and property of citizens.
The Special Assistant said police and other law-enforcement personnel had rendered significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, which would always be remembered.
He said coordinated efforts and effective operations against terrorist elements would continue to promote lasting peace and stability in KP.
