ABBOTTABAD:Dean Ayub Medical College (AMC) and Chief Executive Officer Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) Prof. Dr. Umar Farooq on Wednesday visited Thalassemia Day
Care Center (TDCC).
While speaking on the occasion Dr. Umar Farooq said TDCC was providing all sorts of facilities to the children suffering from thalassemia and was striving to provide better services.
He added that the Head of the Pathology Department Prof. Dr. Naeema their team comprising Prof. Dr. Romana Hematologist Dr. Ammar Dr. Ajmal, Dr. Jawariya Qayyum and other doctors were playing their role for providing medical facilities to the Thalassemia victim children.
Dr. Umer Farooq paid rich tribute to the nurses who were serving at the Thalassemia Daycare Center and the blood bank staff who were always working hard to provide blood to the children.
Dean Ayub Medical College and CEO Ayub Teaching Hospital Prof. Dr. Omar Farooq had started this care center keeping in view the difficulties of children suffering from thalassemia at ATH.
He also urged the citizens of Abbottabad to donate blood for children with thalassemia in the blood bank of Ayub Teaching Hospital to save the lives.
