TANK:The Tank police have arrested three outlaws, recovering illegal weapons and drugs from their possession in different operations conducted across the district.
According to a police spokesman, District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Iftekhar Ali Shah has directed all the police stations in the district to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against anti-social elements.
Following these instructions, Malazai Police Station SHO Sami Ullah Khan along with a police party raided at home of absconder Tauseef son of Haleem Khan, a resident of Umarkhel, who was wanted by police in a murder case, and others.
The absconder was not present at home; however, the police arrested his father Haleem Khan recovering a rifle along with five cartridges from him. The police also arrested Tauseef’s brother Muhammad Nadeem recovering a pistol along with four cartridges from his possession.
Similarly, a police team led by Jandola police station SHO Noor Aslam Khan arrested an accused drug dealer named Junaid Ahmad son of Damsaaz during routine patrolling. The police also recovered 830 grams of hashish and 240 grams of heroin from his possession.
