MULTAN:Police arrested three robbers involved in snatching cash from an employee of a private company and subsequently recovered it during an operation conducted here on Thursday.
According to the police sources, an employee of a private distributor company, Muhammad Bilal lodged a complaint with Mumtazabad police. The complainant apprised that on March 29 three unidentified armed motorcyclists intercepted him near Askari petrol pump and held him hostage at gun point. In addition, the stolen amount was worth over 1.8 million, which he was going to deposit in the bank.
The City Police Officer (CPO) Khurram Shahzad Haider formed a special team under the supervision of SP Cantt Division Hassan Afzal to arrest the suspects. The police team arrested the culprits identified as Adil, Mujahid and Mudasir.
Further investigations are underway.
