Torghar: Deputy Commissioner Torghar Dr Yasir Imran has directed relevant departments to strengthen surveillance and take proactive measures to prevent the spread of dengue in the district.
He issued the directives while chairing a meeting of the District Dengue Prevention and Response Unit, Torghar, which reviewed arrangements for dengue prevention and response to possible cases.
District Health Officer Dr Mudassar Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Judba Fazal-ur-Rehman, Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering Abdul Haseeb, District Population Officer Safdar Murad and other relevant officials attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed measures to control mosquito breeding, monitor sensitive areas, ensure timely detection and reporting of suspected cases, and maintain an effective response mechanism.
Dr Yasir Imran directed officials to keep the surveillance system active and strengthen coordination among all relevant departments to ensure timely action against any potential spread of dengue.
