Chiniot: Over the past 24 hours, 541 challans were issued to various vehicles and motorcycles for traffic violations, resulting in fines totaling more than Rs. 700,000 to ensure compliance with traffic laws.
According to reporter correpsondent, the traffic police issued challans for the following violations: 41 for lane violations, 125 for mobile phone use while driving, 135 for the use of pressure horns, 55 for overloading, 9 for one-way violations, 6 for driving without a license, and 237 for other infractions.
In this regard, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif stated that practical steps are being taken to ensure safe travel for citizens. He said alongside enforcement actions, awareness campaigns are ongoing to prevent traffic accidents, adding that adhering to traffic laws can help avoid such incidents.
He urged citizens to ensure compliance with traffic laws to guarantee safe travel for themselves and others. It was further stated that driving licenses are being issued under a special campaign for the convenience of citizens, noting that obtaining a driving license serves as proof of being a law-abiding citizen.
