KHANEWAL:Two brothers died after falling into a canal as its bank broke due to water leakage, near Mian Channu Wali bridge on Wednesday.
According to District Emergency Officer (DEO) Rescue 1122, Dr Khalid, 35-year-old Asif and his 20-year-old brother Kashif were going somewhere on a motorcycle, when suddenly the bank of the canal broke near Jhandali Road 96 Mian Channu Wali bridge, and they fell down and died.
He said that they probably died due to head injury as the water level in the canal was very low.
Upon receiving the information, Rescue teams rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies, which were handed over to the heirs after legal action.
