PESHAWAR:A judge of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Muhammad Adil Khan on Tuesday sent two police officials allegedly involved in extortion and attack on the house of a local body representative on five-day physical remand.
On the request of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), the judge handed over the two accused to CTD custody for further investigation into the case.
The accused cop identified as Abdul Qadir and Hayat were demanding extortion from local government representatives in Tehsil Bara, district Khyber.
The investigation officer told the court that both the accused were named in FIR No. 183 and there was a need to investigate them, adding that a JIT at the highest level had also been constituted to probe the matter.
