KHANPUR: At least two people on Sunday died and another was critically injured in Tehsil Khan when two motorcycles collided, a girl fell into Khanpur lake.
According to the police sources, near old Khanpur two motorcyclists collided resulting in Chaudhary Haseeb Rustam son of Rustam Zaman resident of Choi village died on the spot while another motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was shifted to Trauma Center Haripur by Rescue 1122.
Khanpur police registered a case and started an investigation of the accident.
In another incident, a 10-year-old girl Sitara Bibi daughter of Shamraiz resident of village Khoi Maira fell into the Khanpur Lake and lost her life. The girl along with her younger siblings were playing on the bank of the lake when suddenly the Sitara Bibi slipped and fell into the lake.
The funeral processions of both were offered in their native villages.
