FAISALABAD:Unidentified assailant gunned down two persons while inflicting injuries to another in the area of Batala Colony police station.
Rescue 1122 spokesman said here on Tuesday that a motorcyclist intercepted a car near Gol Masjid,LCM School Sammundri road and opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, two car-riders received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot.
One of the victim was identified as –Advocate Naveed Mukhtar Ghumman(former President District Bar Association).
The bodies were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for postmortem.
Apparently, the incident was an outcome of old enmity,said police.
Later,City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani reached the site and constituted a special team under supervision of SSP Investigation to arrest the culprits involved in this heinous crime.
