Two held in Paharpur robbery cases; cash, bikes recovered

Dera ismail khan The district police have arrested two suspected robbers in separate operations in Paharpur and Paniala areas and recovered cash, motorcycles, mobile phones and other valuables from their possession.



The operations were carried out under the supervision of Paharpur SP Iqbal Khan Baloch, police said on Thursday.



In Paniala, the police arrested Amir Abdullah son of Saeed Khan, resident of Abdul Khel, who was allegedly involved in robbing passengers along the CPEC route and carrying out robberies in adjoining areas.



The police recovered two motorcycles, along with mobile phones allegedly snatched from passengers, two ATM cards, three wallets and three SIM cards.



In a separate operation, the Paharpur police arrested Shehryar son of Dilbar Khan, resident of Wandha Baloch, who was allegedly involved in a robbery targeting a TMA employee.



Police recovered Rs 310,000, two motorcycles, including one allegedly used in the crime.



Further investigation into both suspects was underway.



SP Iqbal Khan Baloch said police operations against criminals and robbers would continue without discrimination and that all possible measures would be taken to maintain peace in Paharpur and ensure the safety of passengers travelling along the CPEC route.
