Lahore: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem has taken notice of the killing of two persons in firing by unidentified assailants in the Sadar Kharian area of Gujrat and sought a report from regional police officer (RPO) Gujranwala.
According to a spokesperson, the IGP directed district police officer (DPO) to ensure the immediate arrest of those involved in the firing and directed police to utilize all available resources for their apprehension.
Senior police officers and forensic teams reached the crime scene and collected evidence.
The DPO said teams had been constituted to arrest the suspects and they would be apprehended soon.
The deceased were identified as Shehroz Ali and Hasnain.
