Lahore: Two robbers were arrested in injured condition during an encounter while two accused managed to escape.
According to the police, four robbers had snatched a rickshaw from a citizen at gunpoint in the Saraich Pulli area and fled. Upon receiving information, the police signaled four
suspicious persons to stop during snap checking.
According to SP Model Town Asad Ali, the suspects opened fire on policemen, to which they also retaliated.
During an exchange of fire, two robbers were allegedly injured by the fire of their own accomplices while two other suspects managed to escape.
The police arrested the robbers and recovered two pistols and a rickshaw.
According to the police, the accused had a record in more than 50 cases of theft and robbery. A case has been registered at the Kahna police station.
