Layyah: Police on Monday recovered a large quantity of fireworks and arrested two shopkeepers in Chowk Azam.
According to police sources,on the identification of Security In-charge Arshad Mughal,Chowk Azam police raided shops selling fireworks illegally.Two shopkeepers,Muhammad Ali and Sajjad Ahmed were arrested.
Police recovered sticks,match crackers,sparklers,hand-grenade-style crackers,anar and cake boxes.
Cases have been registered against both accused,who were shifted to the lock-up.
Further investigation was underway.
