Kohat:Kohat Police on Thursday arrested two suspects within 24 hours of a murder incident in which a man identified as Soham was shot dead, police said.
According to police sources, the suspects, identified as Aurangzeb and Jamshed, allegedly opened fire on Soham, resulting in his death.
Soon after receiving information about the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal, issued directives for the immediate arrest of the accused and ordered a swift investigation.
Acting on the instructions, a police team led by DSP Saddar and Station House Officer (SHO) of MRS Police Station, Abdul Rauf Bangash, conducted a prompt operation and traced the suspects.
The police succeeded in arresting both accused, Aurangzeb and Jamshed, within 24 hours of the incident.
A case has been registered against the arrested suspects, while further investigation is underway, police added.
