ISLAMABAD:Two women were electrocuted to death after an iron railing they were moving on the rooftop of a house came into contact with high-voltage power lines in the Yasir Abad area of Chakwal on Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, the incident occurred when the railing came into contact with the overhead electricity wires.
As a result, electric current passed through the railing, causing both women to die on the spot, a local news channel reported.
Upon receiving information, rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the deceased to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
