Two youth killed

Faisalabad: Two youths were hit to death after heavy concrete blocks fell from a trailer in the jurisdiction of Roshanwala police station. According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson on Wednesday, a trailer carrying heavy concrete blocks was travelling on Samundri Road when the driver applied emergency brakes near Madani Kanda. As a result, the loaded concrete blocks accidentally fell off the vehicle. The blocks landed on a vacant space beside the road where two youths were sleeping. The victims were identified as Allah Ditta of Chak No 282 Shamad Chak, and Mudassar of Chak No. 49-GB. The both youths were buried under the concrete blocks and died on the spot. The Rescue 1122 retrieved the bodies from the debris and handed them over to the victims’ families. Meanwhile, the area police have launched an investigation into the incident.
