LAHORE: The Understanding China Forum (UCF) and the Shanghai Institute of International Studies (SIIS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation in different fields, on Friday.
The MoU was signed by both institutions in an online ceremony, held jointly here and in Shanghai (China).
UCF President Zafaruddin Mehmood and SIIS President Dr Chen Dongxiao signed the document.
Both personalities vowed to extend cooperation for educational and cultural development between both the institutes and hoped that the impact of the cooperation would positively contribute to mutual relations between the both nations. They said that public-to-public contact would bring both countries closer in several fields.
Syed Hassan Raza, former Pakistani diplomat, Shoaib Bin Aziz, former bureaucrat and poet, Brigadier (retired) Saeed Ahmad, actor Khalid Abbas Dar, and Shehryar Malik were present from the Pakistani side while Dr WuChunsi, Dr Liu Zongyi, Dr Li Hingmei, Dr Zhang Pei, Zhu Juhua and Zhang Jun participated online from Shanghai.
