Sargodha: The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for admission to medical and dental colleges will be held at the University of Sargodha on Sunday, September 20, with a total of 1,881 candidates expected to appear. The candidates include 1,438 female and 443 male students.
A meeting to review arrangements for the test was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ahmed Mughees. Officials from the University of Health Sciences, University of Sargodha, police, security agencies and other relevant departments attended the meeting.
The participants reviewed and finalized arrangements for the MDCAT, with particular focus on facilitating candidates and their parents. Discussions covered entry and exit routes, parking, drinking water, examination halls, security and traffic management.
A special traffic plan has also been prepared to ensure a smooth flow of traffic around University Road and the University of Sargodha.
Dr Faheem Shahzad will serve as the focal person for the University of Health Sciences, while Assistant Commissioner Sargodha Ahmed Sher Gondal will represent the district administration as its focal person.
The Health Department will also deploy a field hospital and medical staff at the venue to deal with any emergency situation.
