PESHAWAR:The University of Technology (UoT), Nowshera has won two awards with five projects in four different categories in the annual COMPPEC ’22.
Students of Information Engineering Technology Department, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology Department of UoT under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Bilal participated in the annual Computer Project Exhibition and Competition held in May.
More than 40 universities participated and over 300 projects were presented in the competition.
The UoT won two awards with five projects in four different categories. Its project “Automated Mushroom cultivation system” won the first position in the category of IoT and digital system and received winner shield along with cash prize of Rs 40,000 and the project “Hybrid Power generation system” received Merit Award of cash prize Rs 5,000 in the category ‘electromechanical system’. Certificates and awards were distributed among the winners by Chief Guest Dr Rizwan Riaz and CEO CARE (Pvt) ltd. Dr Shoaib Khan.
The COMPPEC is a national level competition which the department of Computer Engineering at NUST College of E&ME has been hosting for more than a decade now. It is one of the most prestigious technological events held in Pakistan that provides a platform for competition among brilliant brains from all across the country in the fields of computers, software, electromechanical system, IoT and digital system, AR/ VR digital technologies.
