UVAS dispatches relief goods for flood affectees

LAHORE:Livestock Secretary Muhammad Malik Bhulla has said that the department should provide full support to the veterinary relief camps, set up by students and teachers for the help of flood affectees.

He was addressing a ceremony, held here to dispatch relief goods for the flood-hit people, by the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences on Monday.

The secretary said that efforts of the UVAS for help of flood affectees were commendable. The Livestock Department was cooperating with all departments for help of flood victims and to carry out relief activities in the best possible way.

UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said that relief items include medicines, ration and tents.

Various UVAS teams consisting of teachers and students have also been sent to Rajanpur, Fazalpur, Taunsa and Dera Ghazi Khan flood-hit areas.
