Wasa heading towards automation system

LAHORE:Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) Managing Director Muhammad Tanveer has said that the Agency is heading towards automation system to provide the best waste water drainage services to people.

He visited Wasa’s Johar Town office on Friday where the sub-division officer briefed him about the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

Muhammad Tanveer said that through installation of SCADA system at Shaukat Khanum disposal station, Rs 7 million had been saved in one year under the electricity consumption head. The system would be installed in phases at all disposal stations, he added.

He said that directions had been issued for immediate repair of faulty tube-wells and added that any negligence related to solving of complaints would not be tolerated.
