MULTAN:Managing Director (MD) Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Chaudhry Muhammad Danish said that cleanliness operation would continue at procession routes during Muharram.
During his visit to monitor ongoing cleanliness operation here on Sunday, the MD WASA said that an emergency has already been declared in the department during Muharram.
He said that special teams have been deployed round the clock to speed up desiltation of sewerage lines at Muharram procession routes.
He directed officers concerned to ensure special arrangements for safety of the employees performing duties of desiltation.
He warned officers of stern action over poor performance and negligence in desiltation work and also urged masses to avoid throwing garbage in sewerage.
