LAHORE:Punjab Planning & Development Board Secretary Dr. Sohail Anwer met World Bank (WB) delegation, led by Ms. Meskerem Brhane, Practice Manager for Urban, Resilience, and Land Global Practice, South Asia Region, here at the P&D Complex.
The main objectives of the WB official’s visit was to review the status of ongoing urban, land, and housing operations in the province, discuss opportunities for Bank’s additional support on proposed initiatives and discuss any help the Bank could provide in this regard.
The meeting reviewed the World Bank funded projects in Punjab regarding urban, land and housing operations in Punjab. The meeting also discussed the role of the Punjab government in completing the projects on time.
The project director briefed the delegation about the progress of different WB funded projects across Punjab.
The WB official expressed her concern over the current situation of urban, resilience and land global practices in South Asia region.
The meeting was also attended by senior urban specialist, senior land administration specialist, and other officers of related departments.
