SARGODHA: Commissioner Sargodha Division Dr Farah Masood Saturday ordered for a crackdown on fertilizer hoarders and profiteers.
She was addressing a review meeting on fertilizer prices and revenue matters.She directed the deputy commissioners of four districts to take stern action against those who were making undue profit by creating artificial shortage of fertilizers.
She ordered for setting up special teams in all four districts to check godowns and records of dealers of fertilizers and pesticides.
Dr Farah said that no one other than dealers was allowed to sell fertilizers or pesticides. She issued orders for setting up cells for convenience of farmers and addressing their grievances in all four districts.
The meeting also reviewed the revenue matters in the four districts.
The meeting was attended by all four deputy commissioners , Director Development Bilal Hassan and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ghazala Yasmeen besides the additional deputy commissioners revenue.
