FAISALABAD: Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad on Wednesday constituted an inquiry committee to probe the fire incident in HBL main branch. According to official sources, Assistant Commissioner City will be convener of the 5-member committee. Chief Engineer (Operation) FESCO, DEO Rescue-1122, Chief Officer Tehsil Council Saddar, Chief Instructor Civil Defense and Electric Inspector would be members of the committee. The committee will hold a detailed inquiry to ascertain the cause of fire at HBL circular road which happened yesterday and submit a report within three days. Meanwhile, the district administration has decided to take effective measures to control the fire incidents in buildings. In this regard, the DC has ordered a fire safety audit of all commercial buildings in the district. He directed the civil defence, rescue and other departments to conduct inspections of buildings and sealed those where fire safety measures had not been taken.
