ABBOTTABAD:District Election Commissioner Abbottabad Wednesday extended the date of local bodies election till February 18.
According to the press release DEC informed the candidates that following the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) schedule for the KP LB election the date of filing nomination papers has been extended to 18th February.
The district election commission directed the candidates that file their nomination papers within the due date 18th February 2022 till 5 pm, the candidates were also directed to avoid filing papers on the last date.
According to the new schedule of LB elections issued by the KP election commission, nomination papers for the polls will be received from February 14 to 18 while the preliminary list of the candidates will be issued on February 19.
The final list of the candidates participating in the polls and the electoral signs will be displayed on March 2 and 4, respectively and finally the LB polls would be held on the 31st of March 2022.
On the third day of filing nomination papers, hundreds of candidates were seen in long queues at the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) for submitting fees.
