MITHI: Despite a ban imposed by the District administration on cultivation of crops on Government land under section 144, the influential land grabbers started to occupy Government land for illegal cultivation.
According to details, Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Syed Ejaz Ali Shah had imposed ban on the cultivation of crops on Government land and logging of trees for two months from 15 June but, influential people ignoring the decision illegally occupied govt land in Village Jeeando dars and other areas for farming purpose.
Meanwhile social activists of the district have appealed to DC Mirpurkhas, DC
Tharparkar, AC Tharparkar and relevant staff to take action against occupants who have violated the law regarding cultivation of crops and cutting of trees.
