ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Police got first position in four-day all Pakistan police martyrs memorial shooting competition organized by National Police Bureau at Police Line Headquarters, Islamabad while Punjab Police and Sindh Police bagged second and third position respectively.
Inspector General of Police Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman awarded the team with certificates along with cash prizes in appreciation of the team’s performance.
Addressing the team, IGP Islamabad said cops had to show excellent skillful shooting performance and made Islamabad police proud. He hoped that such progress would continue in sports competitions.
It is to be mentioned here that the event is organized every year to pay tribute to Martyrs and encourage the police personnel.
Teams from Intelligence Bureau, Frontier Core, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and SSU Sindh Police and Motorway Police participated in the shooting competitions.
IGP Islamabad said Islamabad Police had the honor of securing the first position in the competitions for the third time in a row. During shooting competitions, women police along with male police personnel also demonstrated brilliant performance.
