Kashmiri human rights activist Humayoon Zaman Mirza dies, laid to rest in native town

MIRPUR (AJK): Veteran Kashmiri human rights defender and founder Chairman Jammu Kashmir Human Rights Commission Humayoon Zaman Mirza died after brief illness in a hospital in Lahore on Tuesday.

The 55 years old Kashmiri rights activist was admitted in a hospital in Lahore after he suffered sever paralyses attack a couple of days ago – where he breathed his last early hours on Tuesday.

Humayoon was the elder son of veteran Kashmiri writer of series of books, educationist, expert on Kashmir affairs, (late) Prof. Khan Zaman Mirza.

Humayoon left behind mother and a younger brother in his survivors besides thousands of his friends to mourn his sad demise.

He was laid to rest in his ancestral Khambal graveyard here Tuesday afternoon.
