NUST alumni stand out at global Artificial Intelligence competition, France

ISLAMABAD:Alumni of National University of Science and Technology (NUST) stood out in global Artificial Intelligence Competition “Federated Tumor Segmentation Challenge 2021.”

Dr Suleiman Ali Khan, alumnus of NUST Military College of Signals and Mr Muhammad Irfan Khan, alumnus of NUST Research Centre of Modelling and Simulation, currently based at Artificial Intelligence Centres in Finland, bagged the award.

A total of 125 teams from all over the world participated in this global competition, said a press release on Thursday.

More than 55 organisations came up with AI solutions at the competition, organised by research centres of different countries, including the USA, Germany, Hungary, India and Switzerland.

The winners of the challenge were announced at the MICCAI conference in Strasbourg, France in the session chaired by the AI Director of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard University.
