PESHAWAR:Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) and district administration here Friday joined hands to remote direct electricity hocks and bring the power pilferers under the clutches of law.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Uzma Mukaram, along with PESCO teams conducted raids at Faqirabad areas and removed direct hocks being used for stealing of electricity. FIRs were registered against the power pilferers in concerned police stations.
Uzma said that direct hocks overload power distribution system and inflicted financial losses to the PESCO and such unlawful practice could not be tolerated. She warned of taking strict action against violators.
