LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Ghulam Mahmood said the department retrieved lands and properties worth Rs 72.92 billions of more than 454 people.
He said the police also successfully managed to return Rs 85 million of 118 affected people of a private housing society. More than 700 criminals, including land grabbers, were also arrested for illegal possession during the last seven months, he added. The Cantonment Division Police retrieved around 42 kanal of agriculture land worth millions of rupees of a retired officer Zahid in Batapur here on Wednesday. The accused, including Azam, Ameer and Amjad, had illegally occupied the land since 2009.
