PTCL makes alternative arrangements after disruption in Submarine cable

Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has made alternative arrangements to ensure the provision of uninterrupted internet services after disruption in the international submarine cable, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.

“With reference to AAE-1 International Submarine cable cut, we have arranged alternate channels for bandwidth to meet the requirement of internet usage in Pakistan,” he said in a statement.

The alternative arrangement has resulted in improved customer experience without any major impact on services, the spokesperson said adding “Even more capacity will be added within couple of days.”

However, he said, customers could face slight service degradation across the country till the addition of more bandwidth.
