MUZAFFARABAD:A protest rally was organized here on Thursday under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat against the killings of Kashmiri civilians in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
A large number of people gathered in front of Central Press Club while holding banners and placards stated Indian atrocities and chanted slogans against Indian state terrorism.
Speakers on the occasion said brutal government of Bharatiya Janata Party had killed several unarmed civilians particularly youngsters in fake encounters.
They maintained that after the brutal massacre in Haiderpura, three youngsters were taken out of a vehicle on the main road in Ram Bagh last night and shot dead.
The speakers said apart from IIOJ&K, millions of Muslims were facing fear, terror and brutality in other parts of India.
The speakers said the valley had practically been turned into a prison.
They lamented that thousands of Kashmiri citizens were languished in Indian notorious jails illegally besides house arrests.
While talking about the basic human rights violations in IIOJ&K, speakers stated that people in occupied Kashmir were deprived of their political, social and religious rights by military force.
“In these circumstances, United Nations, European Union, OIC, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and the international human rights organization have moral responsibility to raise voice for humanity besides rescue of unarmed civilians in the disputed state under Indian occupation”, speakers added.
The speakers strongly condemned Indian state terrorism and reiterated for an effective resistance movement for the liberation of the occupied state.
Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Refugees representatives Hamza Shaheen, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Muhammad Umar, Shaukat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim, Mehtab Bameed advocate, Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Dr. Muhammad Manzoor, Javed Ahmed Mughal and others also addressed the gathering.
